33in x 52in @ 300ppi; Daz3d, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop CS4. I have always loved the idea that the atoms in our bodies come from stars and are probably on the order of billions of years old.

This piece started with me playing around in Daz3D. I began with a prebuilt character and made modifications to his facial structure, muscle tone, then moved on to posing and lighting him. From there, I did some manipulations in Illutrator, then moved him into Photoshop to create the scene. The starfield is courtesy of http://www.eso.org/public/images/etamosaicnm2/v, and they offer it under a creative commons license. I tried to create the starfield, but was getting nowhere. The tutorials online dont cover making one in a document this size. I'll have to work on that.... I created the exploding sun from a photo of cracked mud, found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clearlyambiguous/36963902/v
