36" x 48" @ 300ppi; RGB. Digital Painting. I got the idea for this piece from an iPhone app called "Percolate" that interprets photos as rings and circles. I did not start with a photo for this. I just started laying out the circles on a gray field, beginning with the largest and working to smaller and smaller circles (smallest is about 0.2").

This took a rather long time. I had started this in Photoshop, but I kept running out of RAM. So, I started all over in Illustrator and found that it was much easier to accomplish. Once the circles were laid out, I placed the Illustrator file in Photoshop and proceeded with adding color effects.
