72"x24" @ 300ppi; digital painting; Photoshop CS4. I really wanted to put a person into this image. However, once I had done so, and saw how the perspective of the person would fit (in my mind, this is looking straight up) it just looked odd... in a bad way. I could change the perspective (or the perception of it, at least) by placing a crawling man along one of the walls. Then the viewer would be left to wonder if the person is climbing up, or crawling away. I think, for now, I'm calling this one finished. I really like it as is and I worry that adding a figure to it is just going to detract more than add.
You can see that this is another tunnel-type image. Seems to be a recurring theme with me. Not entirely sure why. I'm also playing a bit with this effect that simulates a bokeh light blur that you can get with a decent camera. This combination felt to me like moisture falling. What do you see here?
