Sometimes, a scribble is just a scribble. Other times... what follows is a random stream of thought, not meant to necessarily be factual (that will make sense further down). This is just an excerpt from the running dialogue in my head.

Been so busy lately. I wanted to do a big, dramatic piece, but it just wasn't in me today. My mind and body are just a bit too worn out. Still, I think this is interesting enough to publish. 40in x 40in

Feeling like spring today, and that's fine by me - even though we didn't really have a winter this year.

Playing with lines. Started drawing on my iPad, then imported into Illustrator and Photoshop. No hidden meanings. Just some fun lines. 36in x 58in @ 300ppi; Sketchbook Pro, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop;

I'm thinking of dirty city streets, broken glass, chipped and peeling paint, old buildings, layer on layer of grime and sweat laid down by generations of people living and working in tight quarters. For some people, this is a nightmare. For others, it's perfect. Not sure why my mind went there today. Maybe it's all the clutter, dust, and cat hair I've been cleaning out of my office today. 36in x 58in.

We have this vine in our back yard, on an arbor overlooking the pool. I'm not sure what kind of plant it is - might be a type of wisteria. The blooms are small, purple and red-violet. The fragrance makes me think of peppercorn, but slightly sweet. The thing is a triffid. I think if you stood underneath it for very long, it would swallow you up.

What do you see? I chose the name only because it made me think of a tissue cross sample, showing muscle and veins. I started this last night. Now, in the bright light of day, I'm not sure I see what I saw last night. I still love it, though. Other than that, I don't have much to say about this one.

58in x 36in @ 300ppi; Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop; If I had to list my favorite flowers, orchids would probably be in the top 5. Did you know that vanilla comes from an orchid? That alone would earn it a place in my top 10.

36in x 58in @ 300ppi; Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop; It's a male palm tree. How can you tell? You can clearly see his coconuts! Ha! Ok, it is late as i write this. See how funny you are when you're wiped out. Sheesh! With fronds like you, who needs enemas? HA! See what I did there? Fronds? Get it? Oh all right. Fine. Be that way.
